About us

Founded by 41 vets, so no pet would be alone at night.

Fifty years later, we’re still independently owned by the veterinarians who live and work here. Not a national chain. Not private equity. Every decision about your pet is made in Orange County.

Our story

The overnight shift of your family vet’s practice.

In 1975, 41 local veterinarians had the same problem: when they locked up at night, their patients had nowhere to go. So they built a hospital together, and agreed to share it.

That idea still runs everything we do. We don’t try to replace the vet who knows your pet best. We take care of tonight, we send everything to them by morning, and we hand your pet back.

What makes us different

Big enough to be good. Small enough to care.

Accredited by AAHA

Both hospitals meet the American Animal Hospital Association’s standards, which most hospitals never seek out.

Led by a criticalist

Our medical director is board certified in veterinary emergency and critical care.

Emergency only

Emergency and critical care is all we do. Wellness visits, vaccines and elective surgery belong with your family vet.

Specialty‑level tools

On‑site surgery, lab, digital X‑ray read by board‑certified radiologists, oxygen, blood products and antivenin.

Partners with your vet

Records go to your family vet the same night, and referred patients get discounted overnight care.

Fair prices

We keep our prices affordable, and you’ll see every one in writing before we start.

Tour our hospitals

Built for the hardest nights.

Windows everywhere, so no patient is ever out of sight.

Meet Ayda

The spots you’ll see around here.

Ayda is our Dalmatian. You’ll find her on our chat, at our open houses and on almost everything we make. Dalmatians have long been the dogs of firefighters and first responders, and that’s who we are for Orange County’s pets.

Behind her is a team of about 60 people across both hospitals. Many have been here more than a decade. All of them would rather be here at 2am with your pet than anywhere else.

In the community

For the pets and their people.

You’ll see us at local races, at our neighbors’ open houses and in the North Orange County chamber. Because the family vets founded us, we still show up for them, and for the people who love the pets they care for.

Our lobby

We hope you don’t need us. We’re here if you do.

Fullerton is open 24 hours, every day. Garden Grove covers weeknights, weekends and holidays. No appointment, ever.
